🎬 STUDIO MANAGER WANTED: Run the studio behind the ads.
📍 Location: Los Angeles (On-site)
💰 Compensation: $100,000 – $115,000 + Comprehensive Benefits
🚀 ABOUT TUBESCIENCE
We're a creative strategy and production company making high-performing video ads for DTC and e-commerce brands. We combine data, direct-response principles, and creative craft to help clients scale profitably on Meta, TikTok, YouTube, CTV and beyond. We shoot a lot and we shoot fast, so the studio has to be ready before anyone asks.
💡 THE ROLE
We're hiring a hands-on manager to own the studio, not just the schedule. You'll lead Studio Operations and report to our Director of Physical Production.
When gear goes missing, you fix checkout. When an issue hits three shoots in a row, you write the SOP that ends it. When a busy week is coming, coverage is already planned. We're hiring for judgment: what needs attention now, what can wait, and how to keep the floor running when you're not on it.
🎬 WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Keep the studio shoot-ready (sets, lighting, sound, gear, safety) and catch scheduling conflicts before they hit the floor.
- Run gear inventory, checkout, maintenance, repairs, and purchasing so everyone knows where equipment is and whether it's ready.
- Coach and develop Studio Coordinators, Assistants, and PAs into a crew that runs without constant direction.
- Plan coverage for PTO, sick days, and peak weeks so a routine gap never becomes an emergency.
- Build SOPs, checklists, and workflows with Post, Facilities, IT, and Finance that turn recurring problems into permanent fixes.
- Manage rental, rigging, and construction vendors; track spend and flag costs early.
- Be the first call on shoot day: solve problems fast and communicate clearly.
🧬 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years in studio operations, production services, equipment operations, or physical production.
- Strong knowledge of professional camera, lighting, grip, and sound equipment and studio workflows.
- Experience leading production crews in a fast-paced environment.
- A systems mindset and proactive style: you fix root causes and surface risks early, with a solution in hand.
- Clear, direct communication with creatives, producers, vendors, and leadership.
- Comfort with shifting priorities, without trading off accuracy or safety.
➕ NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Cheqroom or similar equipment-management tools.
- A background at a high-volume content studio, ad agency, or DTC brand.
- Experience managing client product inventory for shoots.
- Experience with set construction, rigging, or safety compliance.
