SoftwareOne Australia is currently seeking an Associate Consultant - Cyber Security to support the protection and security of cloud environments across AWS and Azure. Working alongside the wider team, you will support the implementation, management, and monitoring of cloud security measures while building hands-on experience across security monitoring, incident response, compliance, risk assessment, and security automation.
Key responsibilities will include
- Monitor cloud environments and support the identification and response to security incidents using industry-standard security tools.
- Work with the team to implement and maintain security controls across AWS and Azure environments.
- Assist with the investigation and response to security breaches, vulnerabilities, and other security incidents.
- Support cloud security compliance with relevant standards and regulations, including ISO 27001 and GDPR.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, assess, and mitigate security risks across cloud environments.
- Support the automation of security processes and procedures across cloud infrastructure.
- Participate in internal security audits and risk assessments for cloud systems.
What we need to see from you
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Understanding of cloud security concepts including identity management, encryption, and network security.
- Familiarity with security technologies and tools such as firewalls, VPNs, and SIEM.
- Basic knowledge of security frameworks and standards, including NIST and ISO 27001.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an interest in identifying and addressing cyber security risks.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or equivalent are advantageous.
