We are seeking a Data Analyst to help turn our business data into practical insights that inform decisions across sales, marketing, inventory and operations.
About the Role:
The Data Analyst will collect, organise, clean and analyse data from our e-commerce platforms and internal business systems. Working closely with management and operational teams, you will identify trends, develop reports and interactive dashboards, and provide evidence-based recommendations to improve business performance and customer experience.
You will need to perform the following duties:
· Liaise with management and internal teams to define business questions, reporting requirements, key performance indicators and appropriate data analysis methods.
· Collect and combine sales, product, customer, marketing and inventory data from e-commerce platforms and internal systems into structured datasets for analysis.
· Clean, transform and validate datasets, investigating missing values, duplicate records and inconsistencies to assess and improve data accuracy and reliability.
· Apply statistical and exploratory analysis techniques to identify sales trends, purchasing patterns, product performance and operational issues.
· Analyse website conversion rates, customer retention and marketing campaign results to identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and marketing effectiveness.
· Examine historical sales and inventory data to assess seasonal demand, stock turnover and stock availability, providing analytical input into inventory planning.
· Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, charts and recurring reports that communicate business performance and analytical findings.
· Prepare reports and presentations explaining findings, analytical limitations and practical recommendations to support management decisions.
· Develop and maintain queries and scripts to automate data preparation, analysis and routine reporting.
· Maintain documentation of data sources, metric definitions and analytical processes, and follow procedures for secure data handling, access control and responsible use of customer information.
About You
To excel in the role, you should have
· A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a closely related discipline.
· At least 1 year of professional experience in Data Analytics, Data Science or a similar role.
· Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel for extracting, organising and analysing data.
· Experience developing dashboards and visualisations using Power BI, Tableau or a comparable tool.
· Working knowledge of Python or R for data preparation, analysis and automation.
· A sound understanding of statistical methods, data validation and data quality principles.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with close attention to detail.
· Clear communication skills and the ability to explain analytical findings to colleagues without a technical background.
· Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple reporting priorities.
