Innovate with Benchmark Gensuite as a Leader, Global Events & Field Marketing

About Benchmark Gensuite

Benchmark Gensuite is a unified, AI-native EHS, Sustainability, and Quality management platform trusted by 20%+ of the Fortune 500 and serving 8 million+ workers globally. Founded by EHS practitioners 25+ years ago, we've built our reputation on deep domain expertise, a 95% subscriber retention rate, and genuine partnership with the safety, environmental, and sustainability leaders we serve. Genny AI, our embedded AI layer, is redefining how enterprise risk and compliance work gets done — and our events strategy is one of the primary ways the market experiences that story in person.

Why This Role Exists

Our subscriber and prospect relationships are won and deepened face-to-face — in exhibit halls at ASSP, NAEM, and NSC; at IMPACT, our flagship customer conference in Louisville; and across a growing slate of regional editions in Amsterdam, Shanghai, Goa, and San Luis Potosí. As Benchmark Gensuite scales globally — now with a footprint across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, the UK, France, Slovakia, Germany, India, China, and Australia — our event calendar has grown in scope, complexity, and stakes faster than the operating model behind it.

We need a leader who can turn a sprawling, always-on calendar of trade shows, industry-membership conferences, and international customer events into a disciplined, revenue-connected program — planned 12–18 months out, coordinated flawlessly across Sales, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and regional teams, and continuously sharpened using AI and data rather than instinct alone.

What You'll Own:

Global Event Strategy & Portfolio Management

- Build and own the global event calendar 12–18 months in advance, spanning major industry trade shows and membership-association conferences (e.g., ASSP, NAEM, NSC), Benchmark Gensuite's flagship IMPACT customer conference, and the expanding slate of international regional conferences.

- Develop a clear point of view on where the company should show up, sponsor, exhibit, speak, or host, based on audience fit, pipeline potential, and brand value, not habit or precedent.

- Own the portfolio budget: negotiate sponsorships and contracts, manage vendor and venue relationships across regions, and make the calls on trade-offs between a flagship investment and a long tail of smaller shows.

International Customer Conference Leadership

- Lead end-to-end planning and on-site execution for Benchmark Gensuite's international customer conferences, coordinating with regional leaders, local vendors, and global content/speaker teams across different languages, cultures, and logistics environments.

- Ensure every regional edition reflects a consistent brand and subscriber experience while flexing appropriately for local market norms and relationships (as seen across our EU, APAC, and Latin America hubs).

Cross-Functional Orchestration

- Serve as the connective tissue between Sales, Product Marketing, Customer Success, Partnerships, and Executive Leadership on every event — translating each team's goals (pipeline, retention, thought leadership, partner visibility) into one coherent on-site plan.

- Build the standing cadence, systems, and playbooks (pre-show planning, booth/space design, speaker and executive prep, lead capture and routing, post-show follow-up) that let the function scale without every event starting from a blank page.

- Standardize the global event motion across focus regions, working well in advance with stakeholders to plan fixed but flexible event schedule accounting, balancing budget with growth needs and emerging opportunities.

- Marshall the right team across each event, reflecting the diverse needs of the business and forward-looking value of strategic market engagement.

Performance, ROI & Continuous Improvement

- Define and own the KPIs that matter — pipeline sourced/influenced, cost-per-meeting, subscriber engagement and retention signal, executive/analyst relationship value — and report results with the same rigor our platform brings to our customers' risk data.

- Use AI and automation to modernize how the function plans, staffs, and measures events: from post-event follow-up to smarter budget modeling and speaker/content recommendations.

- Continuously reassess the portfolio and recommend changes — sunsetting underperforming shows, doubling down on high-value ones, or piloting new formats — and build the business case when that means a real change in direction.

Team & Vendor Leadership

- Lead, coach, and develop a small team of coordinators and a network of external production, AV, and logistics partners; set a standard of calm, prepared execution under the pressure of live events.

- Build relationships across the organization — regional GMs, Sales leadership, Customer Success, Product — that make Benchmark Gensuite's events feel like one company working in sync, not a headquarters function imposing on the field.

What You Bring:

- 8+ years in field marketing, global events, or event marketing leadership within enterprise B2B SaaS, ideally in a complex, regulated, or technical category (compliance, risk, EHS, ESG, industrial software, or adjacent enterprise tech).

- A track record of owning a global, multi-region event portfolio — trade shows, industry-association conferences, and proprietary customer conferences — with real pipeline/revenue accountability, not just logistics ownership.

- Demonstrated ability to plan 12+ months ahead while still being comfortable in the weeds on-site; this is a strategy-and-execution role, not one or the other.

- Experience managing international, in-person events, including the vendor, cultural, and logistical realities of running events outside the U.S.

- Strong cross-functional influence — you can align Sales, Product Marketing, and Executive stakeholders around a shared plan, and hold your ground on a call when priorities conflict.

- Comfort using AI tools and data to modernize a traditionally manual function — from planning and budgeting to lead follow-up and reporting.

- A resilient, even-keeled presence: live events do not go according to plan, and this role requires someone who can absorb that reality and keep a program (and a team) steady through it.

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have:

- Experience in a subscription/compliance-driven or safety/sustainability-adjacent market.

- Familiarity with membership-association conference dynamics (sponsorship tiers, speaking-slot politics, standing committee relationships).

- Experience building or scaling a regional-conference model from a single flagship event.

How Success Shows Up in This Role:

- A rolling 12–18 month calendar that Sales, Product Marketing, and regional leaders can plan against with confidence.

- A portfolio that's been actively shaped — not just maintained — with clear reasoning behind what's in, what's out, and what's new.

- Clean, credible ROI reporting that holds up in a leadership review, with AI-supported insight behind it rather than a spreadsheet built the week before.

- A team and vendor network that runs events others want to be part of — and subscribers and prospects who leave IMPACT and its regional counterparts feeling genuinely taken care of.
