What the role looks like
We are seeking a driven, empathetic, and disciplined leader who shows up authentically every day and inspires others to do the same. They combine strong operational expertise with a passion for service—leading teams, managing complex property operations, solving difficult problems, and maintaining full compliance with unwavering precision.
What you will do
- Leadership & Team Development — Establish clear goals and expectations, direct team priorities, and cultivate a high‑performance, collaborative work environment. Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing development to staff.
- Operational Oversight — Manage all on‑site functions including leasing, maintenance, engineering, resident relations, and office operations to ensure consistent delivery of service and achievement of performance targets.
- Financial & Community Stewardship — Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and r operating cash flow enforcing expense controls, accurate financial coding, and meticulous budgeting; balance high end fiscal discipline with an empathetic, resident-first leadership style to protect the building’s bottom line and its luxury community experience..
- Compliance Administration — Maintain full compliance with all city, state, and federal regulations; manage permits, inspections, licenses, and requisite deadlines through a structured compliance calendar. Ensure annual reporting against all compliance measures are met and recording in our property management systems.
- Vendor & Contract Management — Ensure vendor adherence to purchasing, bidding, and insurance requirements; review contracts, scopes of work, and RFPs; track COI expirations and performance.
- Capital Project Coordination — Support planning, bidding, and execution of capital projects, in full collaboration with the design and construction team to meet renovation and turnover program guidelines, ensuring timely and on‑budget completion with accurate documentation.
- Resident Engagement — Cultivate a welcoming community by maintaining an active daily visibility with residents, promoting goodwill, and resolving all concerns with the highest level of empathy, speed and luxury-tier professionalism.Engage residents with courtesy and respect, embodying the hospitality standards and luxury apartment experience expected at this property. Appropriately investigate resident concerns and complaints escalating any unresolved matters to the regional VP of Operations for joint resolution.
- Communication & Reporting — Communicate clearly with employees, executives, and stakeholders; prepare accurate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Proactively communicate property, resident, regulator concerns or legal notices for support and resolution.

Your skills and experience
- 10+ years of luxury property management or hospitality experience (single or multi-site) with a proven track record delivering results.
- Operational experience in New York City Multifamily Residential and/or luxury hotel, resort or large scale residential properties
- Prior leadership and technical experience able to lead large teams, internal and external, and earn trust and respect
- Proven leadership and people management skills
- Strong strategic mindset combined with hands-on execution capability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Highly adaptable, resourceful, and solutions-drive
- A problem solver who is polished, professional and outcome oriented
What we offer
Base Salary: $130,000 - $165,000
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location or employee's housing arrangement, including eligibility for Beam-provided housing.
