VP Sales & Marketing (Bilingual Eng/Fre)
Reports to: CEO, NovoLogik
Location: Saint-Jérôme, Quebec, Canada
Work model: Hybrid-flexible
About NovoLogik
NovoLogik provides electronic medical record and practice management software for orthodontic and dental clinics. Its OrthoNovo and DentoNovo platforms bring patient engagement, scheduling, billing, documentation, and imaging together into a single system of record that clinical teams use every day. NovoLogik has been the leading technology provider for orthodontic practices in Quebec for over 20 years, and it is extending that position into new markets across Canada.
The Opportunity
NovoLogik has never had a dedicated sales and marketing function. This role exists to build it, starting from a blank page rather than a broken process.
NovoLogik holds a leading position in its core Quebec orthodontic market and has built a growing, loyal base of dental customers, with high retention and an expanding product set. There is real room to grow, both within existing customer relationships and in new markets across Canada, though building on that position requires a true commercial function, which does not exist today.
This is a high-volume, relationship-driven commercial motion, not an enterprise field-sales role. Success looks like a functioning CRM, a real marketing engine, a handful of well-chosen industry conferences, new outbound campaigns, and disciplined follow-through on renewals and account growth.
Because NovoLogik is a small, lean organization, this role also carries general operational and administrative responsibility beyond the commercial mandate. You will partner directly with NovoLogik’s CEO on commercial strategy and priorities.
Why NovoLogik
- You’re building, not maintaining. This is NovoLogik’s first dedicated sales and marketing leadership hire. Process, tooling, team structure, and positioning are yours to define.
- Real ownership from day one. You are not inheriting a team or a process. You decide what to build first and how, with full accountability for the outcome.
- A business built to grow. NovoLogik holds a leading position in its core market and a sticky, system-of-record product used daily by clinical teams. The growth opportunity in front of you is real.
- A permanent home, not a flip. Banyan acquires and holds its companies indefinitely. You are building something meant to last, not preparing a company for a near-term sale.
- Meaningful scope, fast. In a small, lean organization, your decisions are visible and consequential from day one.
- Direct executive access. You will work closely with NovoLogik’s CEO and with Banyan’s Operating Group on commercial strategy, marketing investment, and growth support.
What You Will Own
Go-to-Market Build
- Select and implement a CRM, and establish the sales operating rhythm that goes with it.
- Define and prioritize the ideal customer profile and target segments, starting with the existing customer base.
- Build out marketing collateral, refresh the website in partnership with Banyan’s marketing team, and launch initial outbound campaigns, including SEO and SEM.
Sales Execution
- Run the full sales cycle: qualify inbound leads, deliver demos, negotiate, and close.
- Own the revenue number from day one as an individual contributor until the team justifies its first hire.
- Build day-to-day sales process and reporting discipline to support the function’s growth.
Customer & Market Expansion
- Shape product packaging and account-growth opportunities across the existing customer base, in partnership with NovoLogik and Banyan leadership.
- Represent NovoLogik at relevant industry conferences and build a cadence of customer visits, including in English-speaking parts of Canada.
- Build the commercial foundation to extend NovoLogik’s presence beyond Quebec.
Team Building
- Build the business case for NovoLogik’s first account executive hire as pipeline volume warrants it, in partnership with Banyan.
- Hire, ramp, and mentor new sales talent as the function grows beyond a single seat.
Operational Leadership
- Take on general operational and administrative responsibilities as needed in a lean organization.
- Identify and drive opportunities to professionalize processes across the business.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Work directly with NovoLogik’s CEO on sales strategy and go-to-market execution.
- Partner with Banyan’s Operating Group on go-to-market resourcing, marketing support, and growth priorities.
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
- Proven, quota-carrying B2B sales experience with a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Professionally proficient in both English and French, spoken and written, sufficient to lead business conversations in either language.
- Demonstrated experience building or scaling a sales and marketing function, including process, tooling, and early execution, not purely analytical or advisory work.
- Comfort owning the entire sales cycle (qualifying inbound leads, running demos, negotiating, closing) without an existing SDR team or outbound infrastructure.
- Able to work on-site in Saint-Jérôme, Quebec on a regular basis.
- Comfort operating as a generalist in a small, lean organization, including administrative and operational responsibilities outside the core commercial mandate.
Nice-to-Haves
- MBA.
- Experience selling into healthcare, dental, or another regulated or professional-services vertical.
- Experience building volume-driven sales or marketing motions rather than closing a small number of large, bespoke deals.
- Working marketing fluency (SEO/SEM, website strategy, campaign management) to help stand up NovoLogik’s first demand-generation motion.
- Experience selling on-premise or hybrid-deployment software rather than pure cloud/SaaS.
