Facility Security Officer - WEST CALDWELL,NJ
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am-4pm
Monday to Friday 4pm-12am
Saturday and Sunday all shifts
Payrate: $19.00
Job Duties:
- Communicate professionally with employees, customers, vendors and visitors.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and direct or transfer callers to the appropriate department.
- Conduct routine security inspections and patrols of multiple buildings throughout the facility.
- Assist with enforcing company policies and Site-specific security procedures.
- Perform building opening and closing security procedures, including the activation and deactivation of intrusion alarm systems in accordance with established protocols.
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
- Process and issue facility access badges for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Monitor live video surveillance, identify security concerns, and report unusual or unauthorized activity.
Requirements:
- Valid SORA license or willing to obtain
- Required to work effectively under variable weather conditions
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy consistently
- Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone and/or radio
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
- Strong customer service, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be reliable, self-motivated, and flexible
- Expected to work Weekends and Holidays
- Fluent in English language (reading, writing and speaking)
