Finance Analyst

Summary:

Responsible for assisting in all aspects of the finance operation and perform quantitative analyses at the direction of department leadership. Reports to the Director of Finance.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other quantitative field in progress required, or completed preferred. Gaming experience is a plus.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven attention to detail.

- Must possess excellent communication (verbal and written), organizational and analytical skills.

- Must be extremely detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.

- Must have excellent computer skills with particular proficiency required with Microsoft Excel.

- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from guests, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals and work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

- Ability to identify problems and formulate solutions.

- Ability to work in a highly regulated, fast-paced environment.

Licensing Requirements:

- Class III Gaming license

Essential Job Functions:

Responsible for learning the basic aspects of all functions of the Finance Department

- Responsible for preparation of ad hoc and regularly produced analytical reports to be assigned by the Director of Finance

- Cross train in specific functions of the Finance Department to ensure coverage

- Calculate and monitor Key Performance Indicators as assigned by the Director of Finance

- Develop and maintain financial models that support strategic planning

- Work closely with Department Leadership to understand their analytical and financial needs and communicate these with the Director of Finance

- Assist in the development and maintenance of an “Instruction Manual” for all significant tasks performed in the Finance Department

- Other finance and accounting related responsibilities and duties as assigned

Physical/Mental Requirements:

- Constantly talking or hearing; standing; walking; sitting; using hands to finger; handling or feeling objects, tools or controls.

- Constantly requires specific vision abilities of close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Working Conditions:

- Exposed to risk of radiation (from computers).

- Works in moderate noise level environment. Some exposure to tobacco smoke and odors.
