POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lead Maintenance & Facility Technician to support multiple sites across Moore County, including Pinehurst, Seven Lakes, West End, Whispering Pines, and Carthage. This position serves as the senior technical expert for our facilities, bringing proven lead-level experience and taking ownership of maintenance operations across all sites. While the role does not initially include direct reports, it offers a clear path to supervisory responsibility as our maintenance team grows. This role is essential to maintaining safe, reliable, and efficient facility operations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for facility maintenance, setting the standard for quality workmanship and safe practices.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repairs on mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems.
- Complete preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment and facility infrastructure.
- Plan, schedule, and prioritize maintenance work across multiple sites, coordinating with site leaders and vendors.
- Serve as the primary point of escalation for complex maintenance issues.
- Assist with contractor oversight, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, custodial services, and groundskeeping.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work orders, equipment history, and parts usage.
- Support facility upgrades, equipment installations, and capital improvement projects.
- Promote and ensure compliance with all safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
- Help build maintenance processes and standards that will support future team growth, with the opportunity to train and lead technicians as the team expands.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years of maintenance experience in industrial, commercial, or manufacturing environments.
- Proven experience in a lead or senior maintenance technician role.
- Supervisory experience is a plus, along with a strong interest in growing into a people-leadership role.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and equipment manuals.
- Comfortable working independently and traveling between multiple local sites.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Preferred certifications: HVAC Type I/II/III, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance.
- Experience with CMMS systems is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, or climb ladders as required.
- Ability to work in industrial environments with varying conditions.
