Location: Bartlett, IL. This is an on-site opportunity with a combination of office work and occasional field visits. You'll enjoy hands-on project involvement, close collaboration with a growing team, and the opportunity to see your engineering recommendations put into action.
Note: An active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. Candidates must be comfortable working directly with clients, communicating technical recommendations, and managing geotechnical engineering projects. Prior geotechnical engineering experience is highly preferred, with 2+ years considered an advantage rather than a strict requirement.

Job Description
- Lead geotechnical engineering projects, including investigations, analysis, reporting, and recommendations.
- Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports with clear, practical engineering solutions.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, proposals, and technical deliverables.
- Coordinate field investigations, drilling operations, soil classification, and testing activities.
- Review field reports, evaluate subsurface conditions, and resolve technical challenges.
- Serve as a trusted technical contact for clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Participate in project meetings and communicate engineering findings effectively.
- Support and mentor junior engineers and field technicians.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver accurate, timely project results.
Qualifications
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Experience in geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.
- 2+ years of geotechnical engineering experience preferred, not required.
- Ability to prepare technical engineering reports and communicate recommendations clearly.
- Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
- Experience coordinating projects, field investigations, or construction-related engineering activities.
- Familiarity with soil mechanics, subsurface investigations, and geotechnical analysis is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills, sound technical judgment, and a collaborative mindset.
- Comfortable working on-site in Bartlett, IL, with occasional field assignments.
