ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a collaborative legal services team handling employment law, school law, and general civil litigation matters. You will independently manage cases from intake through settlement or trial, with support from paralegals and experienced colleagues.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Manage civil litigation cases from initiation through settlement or trial.
- Draft and argue motions, conduct discovery, and take and defend depositions.
- Attend hearings and handle bench and jury trials.
- Meet with clients to develop litigation strategies and negotiate settlement agreements.
- Collaborate in person with colleagues on case strategy.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 6 years of civil litigation experience, including motion practice and discovery.
- Experience independently managing a caseload from intake through litigation, with minimal supervision.
- Strong legal writing and experience drafting and arguing motions, including through summary judgment.
- Experience taking and defending depositions.
- Trial experience as first or second chair is valued, along with readiness to try cases.
- Background in employment law, school law, insurance defense, or general civil litigation.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active Washington State Bar membership in good standing, or ability to obtain membership.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
