Purpose of Position
The Senior HR Business Partner position is responsible for the delivery of a full range of Human Resource services across the Americas region. The role will often be the first point of contact for middle-senior managers and employees throughout the Firm, providing commercial HR guidance and support on a full scope of employment topics supporting the business as it grows to meet its operational and longer-term strategic objectives. The role reports directly to the Head of HR Americas but is part of a broader global HR team of 15.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering
- Builds and maintains strong internal relationships and acts as a trusted advisor to managers providing operational and commercially driven HR support.
- Partners with teams including Investment, Investor Relations and Corporate Functions (Compliance, Legal, Risk, IT and Finance etc) in in understanding business goals and developing HR strategies to support their business
- Act as a thought leader on organizational design, workforce planning, succession and change management.
- Shows credibility through demonstration of HR knowledge and understanding of the business, what we do, how we do it and the operational and strategic priorities being worked too
Talent Management
- Support performance management processes feedback cycles and talent calibration.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives that reinforce culture, collaboration and retention.
- Provide coaching and training to managers on handling performance conversations.
- Support internal mobility (both local and international)
- Coordinate documentation and Liaise with immigration partners to support US work authorization processes
Employee Relations
- Provide counsel on sensitive employee relation matters ensuring appropriate discretion
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Influence and challenge managers to role model organisation values and behavioural expectations.
- Train and coach managers to manage performance on an ongoing basis and to have honest and meaningful performance conversations utilising developed tools (such as Career Pathways).
HR Operations
- Leverage systems and initiatives to contribute and constantly improve HR analytics data.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision making.
- Contribute to the review and management of HR policies and processes, ensuring they are forward thinking, and reflect Pantheon’s Inclusive and Diverse culture.
Performance & Reward
- Support annual benefits open enrolment process
- Support leave administration in partnership with HR Operations
- Support external benchmarking (via agencies and consultants) and compare against internal practices., using analysis to reach market data led, commercial decisions.
- Consult with managers and team heads to support and effectively manage the annual Reward and Compensation and Promotion review process.
Projects
Taking ownership for individual projects whilst contributing effectively to broader HR projects and initiatives. Project examples include:
- Firmwide Career Pathways
- Talent Reviews and Employee Development Planning
- Benefit reviews and improvements including benchmarking to market
- Employee Engagement Survey
Knowledge and Experience Required
- Experienced HR Business Partner and Generalist (7+ years)
- Experience in employee relations, compensation, and benefits.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Resilient, confident, and hardworking individual.
- Team player but also proactive with independent tasks.
- SPHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
Expected base salary range: $140,000-$180,000
Actual base salary is determined by a range of factors including individual experience, skills and qualifications.
In addition to the above salary, Pantheon offers a generous employee benefits package, and successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus
