Multiple Drupal Developer

Salary: $130 - $150 per hour (inc. super)
- 12 + 12 + 12 month contract – Nov start
- Baseline Security Clearance - QLD, ACT, VIC or NSW
- Develop, support and maintain Drupal websites and apps
Our client, a Federal Government department based in Civic, ACT that focuses on climate change and sustainable energy use, requires the services of multiple Drupal developers for 12 + 12 + 12 month contracts.
Duties of the Drupal Developers:
- Participate in requirements analysis.
- Produce software design and architecture.
- Design, develop, configure and maintain Drupal-based websites and applications.
- Configure and manage Drupal content types, views, taxonomies, workflows and permissions.
- Write clean, maintainable and scalable code following departmental standards and practices.
- Test and deploy applications and systems.
- Revise, update, refactor and debug code.
- Develop documentation throughout the SDLC.
- Perform Drupal core and module upgrades, patching and lifecycle management.
- Manage vulnerabilities and ensure timely application of security updates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, security vulnerabilities and performance issues.
- Support security assessments, penetration testing and remediation activities.
- Develop solutions that comply with WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards to improve user experience and usability.
Skills and Experience -Drupal Developers:
Essential criteria
- Demonstrated experience developing, supporting and maintaining Drupal websites and applications, including customisation, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience developing web solutions using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, REST APIs and related web technologies, applying contemporary software development practices and version control.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with experience working collaboratively in Agile delivery teams.
Desirable criteria
- Knowledge of Drupal security, secure coding practices, web application security and modern DevOps or CI/CD methodologies.
