RCS Senior Associate - Financial Navigation

Full-time, 40hrs a week from 11a-7:30p or 12p-8:30p.
RCS-Senior Associate-Financial Navigation serves as a key member of the Patient Financial Services/Revenue Cycle team within the Riley Emergency Department. This position works directly with patients and families to identify financial needs, verify coverage, assess potential financial assistance options, establish payment arrangements, and help resolve financial barriers associated with healthcare services.
The Financial Counselor must balance compassionate patient interaction with effective account resolution and revenue-cycle practices. Because the position operates within the Emergency Department, the counselor must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple cases, handling sensitive financial conversations, and collaborating closely with clinical, registration, social work, case management, and revenue-cycle teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Screening un-insured and under-insured patients for federally funded programs.
Requirements:
Customer service, Medicaid experience, and registration/hospital experience.
Other Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent years of experience is required.
- Requires 2-4 years of relevant experience.
- In accordance with State of Indiana requirements, Financial Navigators must hold a current Indiana State Navigator license. Licensure is not required at the time of hire; however, the incumbent must obtain the Indiana State Navigator license within 30 to 45 days of the date of hire.
