Product & Brand Designer
Trovy · New York City · onsite
About UsTrovy is building the financial platform for America's 86 million homeowners for managing their homes and accessing low-rate credit. We believe homeowners’ biggest asset should unlock their best financial options: bypass the myriad of expensive, rigid credit products and replace them with one simple, powerful solution built around their home equity. Backed by Left Lane, Kleiner Perkins, DCM, and Camber Creek, Trovy is led by a team of proven fintech innovators on a mission to make homeownership and personal finances more manageable.
Role OverviewWe're looking for a Product & Brand Designer to shape how customers experience Trovy, from the first ad they see to the moment they accept their offer. You'll work with product and engineering to design features that improve conversion across our HELOC application flow, and you'll partner with marketing to bring our brand to life across the website, landing pages, and paid ads. This is a high-ownership role on a small team that ships fast. You'll have real influence over both the product and the brand as we grow.
What you’ll do- Design features and flows across our HELOC application, from early problem definition through production ready designs
- Conduct user research, including customer interviews and usability testing
- Review session recordings, funnel data, and customer feedback from support, reviews, and calls to understand where customers get stuck
- Design for our website, landing pages, and paid ads across Meta, Google, and TikTok, keeping the brand consistent from the first ad to the card in the mailbox
- Keep the brand consistent from the first ad a customer sees to the card in their mailbox
- Build a deep understanding of our customers and home equity products
- Present your work and explain your design decisions clearly, backed by data or sound reasoning
- Contribute to our design system and design culture by sharing work early and giving and receiving feedback
- Bring AI tools and agentic workflows (Claude, Claude Code, Cursor, and similar) into your process to prototype quickly and iterate in short loops
What you’ll need- 3+ years of experience in product design, brand design, or both
- A portfolio that shows shipped product work, ideally alongside some brand or marketing design
- Strong product instincts. You think about the whole customer experience and help shape what gets built rather than executing a spec handed to you
- Experience conducting user research and turning customer insights into design changes
- Experience using data and experiment results to shape design decisions
- Experience designing complete user flows, not just individual screens
- Strong Figma skills, including clean, organized files and components
- Solid foundations in typography, layout, visual hierarchy, and interaction design
- You've integrated AI agents into how you design and build, and you can speak to what that changed
- Clear communication and comfort presenting to engineers, product, and leadership
- The ability to manage several projects at once without letting quality slip
You are a Good Fit if- You are product driven. You care about the user experience.
- You have experience in fintech, lending, or another regulated industry.
- You have an operator and builder mindset. You spot opportunities early, have the creative instinct to know what will resonate, and the drive to jump in and ship it.
- You've shipped your own designs to production using Claude Code or similar tool
