(Senior) Execution Sales Trader

Role Overview

As a (Senior) Execution Sales Trader, you will play a key role in expanding and strengthening SFI Markets' relationships with banks, liquidity providers, and other market participants. Acting as the bridge between counterparties and internal trading teams, you will be responsible for developing business flow, originating new opportunities, and maintaining a strong network within the interdealer and institutional markets.

Unlike traditional execution or trading-focused roles, success in this position will largely depend on your ability to proactively build relationships, identify commercial opportunities, and generate flow through consistent client engagement. You will work closely with both sales and trading stakeholders, helping to strengthen SFI Markets' market presence and liquidity network.

Key Responsibilities

- Relationship Management: Build, maintain, and develop relationships with banks, liquidity providers, and other institutional counterparties.

- Business Development: Proactively identify new opportunities, establish trading relationships, and expand SFI Markets' network across key market participants.

- Flow Generation: Generate and grow business flow through active client engagement and sales initiatives.

- Market Coverage: Act as a primary point of contact for counterparties, ensuring strong communication and ongoing relationship development.

- Internal Collaboration: Work closely with both sales and trading teams to facilitate client activity and maximize commercial opportunities.

- Market Intelligence: Monitor market developments, competitor activity, and client needs to identify opportunities for growth.

- Negotiation & Execution: Support commercial discussions, negotiations, and onboarding of new counterparties, contributing to the overall growth of the business.

What You'll Bring

- Experience: Proven experience within the broker-dealer, interdealer broker, fixed income, or capital markets environment. Experience with firms such as Tradition, TP ICAP, ICAP, Tullett Prebon, BGC, or similar organisations is highly preferred.

- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of market structure, institutional sales, liquidity provision, and trading workflows.

- Commercial Mindset: Demonstrated ability to originate business opportunities, build commercial relationships, and generate revenue through sales activities.

- Network: Established network within banks, liquidity providers, and institutional market participants.

- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both sales and trading professionals.

- Negotiation Skills: Confident negotiator with the ability to build consensus and create mutually beneficial commercial outcomes.

- Personal Attributes: Commercially driven, proactive, collaborative, resilient, and relationship-oriented.

- Adaptability: Quick thinker with the ability to identify creative solutions and respond effectively in a fast-paced market environment.

- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel regularly to develop and maintain client and counterparty relationships.

- Languages: Fluent in English. Additional European languages are considered an advantage.
