The Opportunity
The Global Compliance & Risk Lead owns compliance and risk management across every program and business line on the Intel account, ensuring JLL and its people operate to the highest ethical and regulatory standard everywhere the account does business. This is not a single-domain compliance role: it spans contractual, regulatory, data, and operational compliance and enterprise risk management across IFM REWS and SPGC alike, with a particular and deliberate emphasis on developing the on account self-audit program, ethics and conflict of interest — protecting the integrity of the client relationship and the individuals who deliver it.
Reporting to the Intel Global Finance Director, with a dotted line into JLL's Technical, Risk & HSSE Director, this role is the senior point of accountability for compliance & Risk on the account: setting the global framework, running the account's ethics and conflict-of-interest programs, and partnering with every account leader — from the Global HSSEQ Director to the Regional Account Directors — to ensure compliance is built into how the account operates, not bolted on after the fact.
Primary Responsibilities
Global Compliance Strategy & Framework
- Own and evolve a single global compliance and risk framework for the Intel account, covering all programs, business lines, and regions (AMR/LATAM, EMEA, APAC).
- Translate JLL's corporate compliance policy and the client's own compliance requirements into a coherent, account-specific compliance and risk management program.
- Ensure compliance standards are applied consistently across IFM REWS and SPGC, and across every regional and functional team on the account.
- Identify and prioritize the account's key compliance risk areas and set the annual global compliance and risk plan, audit and sampling calendar.
- Ensure the compliance and risk program is understood by regional JLL teams, and that risk and compliance training is delivered in every region, alongside the ethics and conflict-of-interest curriculum.
Ethics & Conflict of Interest
- Design, own, and continuously improve the account's ethics and conflict-of-interest program, including disclosure processes, review protocols, and escalation pathways.
- Act as the senior point of contact for conflict-of-interest declarations and reviews across the account, including those involving vendors, subcontractors, and third parties.
- Partner with Legal and JLL's Global Ethics & Compliance function on the investigation and resolution of ethics concerns raised on the account.
- Build and deliver an ethics and conflict-of-interest training curriculum for account leadership, site teams, and project teams globally.
- Monitor for emerging conflict-of-interest risk as the account grows, including new vendor relationships, subcontracting arrangements, and cross-account staffing.
Program & Contractual Compliance
- Ensure compliance requirements are built into every program on the account, from day-to-day IFM REWS operations through to SPGC capital projects.
- Monitor adherence to contractual compliance obligations owed to the client, and to statutory and regulatory requirements in every operating jurisdiction.
- Partner with the Global HSSEQ Director, Global Talent Acquisition Lead, and Global Director of Digital & Transformation to ensure compliance considerations are reflected in HSSEQ, hiring, and digital/data practices.
- Own compliance input into vendor and subcontractor accreditation processes across the account.
- Oversee implementation of the client's contract governance, and information and data security risk programs, in conjunction with Operations and Sourcing teams.
- Implement and ensure compliance with the anti-bribery and anti-corruption program in every region.
Enterprise Risk & Incident Management
- Develop, document and run the account Enterprise Risk Assessment program, and oversee implementation of risk mitigation initiatives, with outputs captured in the global risk register.
- Develop and implement the account incident escalation program in support of the client's business continuity plans (BCPs) in each region, with routine testing, documentation and reporting.
- Participate in the resolution of high-level risk events, including legal and insurance claims and investigations: identify root cause, report objectively, and liaise with the client and subcontractors affected.
Monitoring, Audit & Reporting
- Design and run a global compliance audit and sampling program, including scheduled and ad hoc reviews across regions, countries, sites and programs.
- Track and drive resolution of corrective actions and delivery improvements arising from compliance audits, findings and investigations, working with the affected managers and sites, through to closure.
- Support engagement with client auditors (internal and external) and JLL auditors (internal and external).
- Consolidate regional and program-level compliance data into a single global compliance and risk report, including trends, changes in standards (internal and external) and performance against them, for account and JLL leadership.
- Maintain a global register of compliance and enterprise risks, incidents, and conflict-of-interest cases, with clear ownership and status tracking.
Governance & Stakeholder Engagement
- Chair a global compliance and risk governance forum bringing together compliance contacts from each region and program.
- Appoint and support Risk Champions across regions and programs, ensuring the roles are identified and filled.
- Act as the senior escalation point for compliance concerns raised by any employee, vendor, or client stakeholder on the account.
- Represent compliance in Account Global Leadership Team discussions, ensuring compliance risk is visible in strategic decision-making.
- Foster a positive, proactive and business-focused culture in which raising compliance and ethics concerns is safe, expected, and acted upon promptly.
- Meet regularly with the client and key regional JLL leaders in each area of responsibility.
- Manage and support special projects across the account as required.
Key Performance Measures
- Completion of the global compliance audit and sampling plan and closure of corrective actions within agreed timelines.
- Timeliness and quality of conflict-of-interest disclosures, reviews, and resolutions across the account.
- Training completion rates for ethics and conflict-of-interest programs across all regions.
- Reduction in repeat or unresolved compliance findings across programs and regions.
- Stakeholder confidence in the compliance function, including client and JLL leadership feedback.
- Consistency of the global compliance and risk report and risk register across all programs.
- Regional results in client and JLL audits and reviews, and Risk Champion roles identified and filled.
- Incident escalation program in place, tested and documented, and risk mitigation actions delivered on time.
- Personal objectives met as agreed in JLL's Individual Performance Management process.
Attributes
- Unimpeachable personal integrity and sound ethical judgement, comfortable making and defending difficult calls.
- Strong influencing, persuasion and negotiation skills, able to hold account and regional leadership accountable to compliance standards without direct authority over them, and credible with both senior leaders and site facility a
