Greencross Diamond Creek is looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our close-knit team on a part-time basis (3-4 days per week).
Nestled between Melbourne's leafy northern suburbs and the Yarra Valley, we're a bright, stand-alone clinic where you'll enjoy a varied caseload, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to work alongside a team that genuinely enjoys coming to work each day.
Whether you're assisting with surgery, monitoring anaesthesia, nursing a pocket pet, or helping manage a snake bite patient during the warmer months, no two days are quite the same. About the Clinic
Diamond Creek is a busy, community-focused clinic with a varied caseload and excellent nursing opportunities.
We see a mix of dogs, cats, pocket pets, and, being located in a well-known snake area, occasional snake envenomation cases which are stabilised before referral when required.

Our daily workflow allows nurses to remain actively involved in patient care and make the most of their clinical skills.
About the Role
As a Veterinary Nurse, you'll be involved in all aspects of patient care and clinic operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring
- Pre- and post-operative patient care
- Hospital nursing and patient monitoring
- Assisting with diagnostics and treatments
- Dental nursing and dental procedures
- Laboratory and pathology work
- Radiography assistance
- Client communication and education
- Maintaining high clinical and infection-control standards
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the clinic
This is a hands-on role offering plenty of variety and the opportunity to continue developing your nursing skills.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
- Has a minimum of 3 years' veterinary nursing experience
- Is confident with surgical nursing and anaesthetic monitoring
- Has excellent animal handling skills
- Enjoys working collaboratively as part of a team
- Communicates confidently and professionally with clients
- Is organised, proactive, and reliable
- Takes pride in delivering exceptional patient care
- Enjoys mentoring and supporting less experienced team members
Most importantly, you're someone who values teamwork, professionalism, and creating positive experiences for both pets and their owners.
Availability
This is a part-time position, ideally suited to a nurse available 3-4 days per week.
The successful candidate will also be willing to participate in a rotating Saturday roster, supporting our Saturday morning nursing service.
