ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage healthtech team as its third engineer, working directly with the founders. You will help support and improve AI-powered clinical conversation simulations used in education, while building tools and product features that make the team more effective.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own technical customer support across AI simulations, learning management, field experience, and compliance products.
- Respond to support requests from educators, students, and university administrators, troubleshooting issues through email and customer calls.
- Build automations and internal tools to reduce support volume and help the team scale.
- Transition into full-stack product development, shipping features used by students and faculty.
- Contribute to product decisions, system architecture, engineering culture, and AI-agent workflows.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Zero to four years of experience in software engineering, full-stack development, or forward-deployed engineering.
- Experience as a founder, on a founding team, or at an early-stage startup.
- A broad software engineering background, with full-stack skills and familiarity with AI agents, LLMs, and automation.
- Comfort working autonomously in a fast-moving environment without a detailed daily task list.
- Experience in education technology or working with universities is helpful.
- This role is suited to an early-career engineer and is not focused on Android development.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary is $160,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
LOCATION
On-site, five days per week in New York, New York.
