We're looking for reliable and energetic Kitchen Stewards to join our team at InterContinental Adelaide, with opportunities to work across a variety of shifts, from early mornings to late evenings.
Our Stewards play an important role in keeping our kitchens running smoothly, supporting our chefs and maintaining the high standards our guests expect. If you take pride in your work and enjoy being part of a hands-on, fast-paced team, this could be the opportunity for you.
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
● Cleaning and sterilising countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks and kitchen equipment
● Maintaining clean and organised food storage areas, including freezers and refrigerators.
● Receiving unpacking and organising deliveries to the kitchen.
● Supporting chefs and kitchen colleagues with basic food preparation, including cutting, peeling and washing ingredients.
● Removing kitchen waste and keeping dishwashing areas clean and organised.
● Role available as Part time garunteed 8hrs minimum ideally 3+ shifts per week or Casual ideally 2+ shifts per week dependant on availability.
What We need from you:
● Availability to work a minimum of 2 shifts per week.
● Flexibility to work across a variety of days and shift times, with shifts starting as early as 5:30am or finishing as late as 1:00am.
● An interest in working in a busy kitchen environment and contributing to a supportive team.
● A positive attitude, reliability and willingness to get hands-on.
● Previous experience as a Steward, Kitchen Attendant or Prep Chef is helpful, but not essential. We're happy to teach the right person!

- HIGA Award Level 1 – Base rate $26.44 per hour + shift/ weekend penalties (Casual Loading of 25% to base if employed on a casual basis).
