Wonolo (Work Now Locally) is disrupting the $140BN temporary staffing industry. Founded in 2014, Wonolo's mission is to help people find consistent work. Through our two-sided tech marketplace, we connect hundreds of businesses in need of front-line workers with 2 million underemployed workers in local markets across the United States, within minutes. As a Recruiter at Wonolo you will own the recruiting for a designated region and own how those markets perform. This role pairs recruiting with an operations focus, allowing you to lean into your experience while also participating in the roll-out of new programs and processes for the Market Operations teams across the United States. This high-impact role is ideal for someone eager to share their expertise in traditional staffing, openly provide feedback on current processes, and support iterative pilots as we collectively develop sourcing, screening and onboarding solutions for workers across all worker classifications looking for long-term work placements.

This is a 6-month contract with potential to extend. The position requires availability during business hours Monday - Friday but occasional evenings and weekends may be required.

- Develop and update job descriptions and specifications to ensure workers receive an accurate depiction of work environment and expectations

- Schedule and conduct interviews to screen candidates for various roles across your markets, assessing their relevant knowledge, skills, experience and aptitudes.

- Own the sourcing strategy from proactive bench building all the way through retention of placed workers.

- Act as the market expert. You know the local labor market, competing agencies and gig apps, prevailing pay, and where workers are.

- Visit client sites to get first hand account of the environment, worker experience, and build relationships with both workers and customers

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and surface these to ensure seamless experience for both the Market Teams and relevant stakeholders

- Support both Wonolo app and W-2 onboarding processes, managing the applicants and working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure applicants are being onboarded with minimal idle-time

- Develop best practices for worker engagement and notify teams of the most effective timelines for engagement quality as we optimize Recruiting Operations.

- Track metrics such as “application-to-interview”, “interview-to-onboarded”, and “interview-to-placed” in order to gauge process efficiency and surface blockers

- Lean into AI tools to optimize your time and effectiveness

- In partnership with the Engagement Manager, own the outcome of your markets fill rate, revenue attainment, and supply health

Who you are:

- Proven work experience as a full cycle, high-volume Recruiter (either an in-house recruiter or a staffing agency recruiter)

- Operator mindset with a track record of taking ownership of success beyond just filling a role

- Hands on experience with various selection processes (video interviewing, phone interviewing, reference check etc)

- Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Candidate Management Systems (CMS)

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience using AI tools for personal and/or professional use

- Strong decision-making skills

- Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish
