Transportation Account Manager

We are seeking a high-caliber Transportation Account Manager to join our growing Commercial Lines division. This role will focus on supporting, marketing, and servicing specialized transportation and trucking accounts. Operating within a dedicated Production Team, you will manage relationships across small, medium, and large fleet operations.- Portfolio Management: Serve as the primary account manager for a dedicated book of commercial transportation risks, handling day-to-day client servicing, policy changes, endorsements, and renewals.
- Account Marketing & Placement: Prepare detailed bid specifications, gather loss runs and censuses, and market fleet renewals and new business to regional and national transportation carriers.
- Fleet Coverage Strategy: Manage complex transportation coverage structures across General Freight, Agricultural Hauling (processing/distribution), Hazardous Materials Transport, and specialized transport risks.
- Client & Carrier Relations: Maintain high-touch communication with risk managers, fleet directors, and carrier underwriters to deliver superior account retention.
- Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate closely with Producers, Account Executives, and safety/claims specialists to deliver value-added services beyond standard policy placement.
- Licensing: Active Property & Casualty (P&C) License required.
- Agency Experience: Minimum 3+ years of commercial lines account management experience within an independent agency environment.
- Transportation Expertise: Proven track record in marketing and servicing transportation accounts and commercial fleet risks.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in agency management systems (e.g., Applied Epic, AMS360) and carrier rating portals.
- Base Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 annually (commensurate with specialized transportation experience).
