ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage AI and data infrastructure company building systems for the offline economy, starting with consumer packaged goods. As a founding engineer, you will work across backend infrastructure and customer-facing products to help physical brands improve finance, sales, and operations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and deploy evaluation platforms that create fast feedback loops around product outcomes.
- Develop foundational data infrastructure for single-tenant and multi-tenant hosting at terabyte scale.
- Own end-to-end delivery of production AI agents for customers.
- Design a context layer that captures how organizations operate.
- Help shape engineering practices, product direction, and team culture.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 3 years of backend or full-stack engineering experience, with demonstrated delivery of projects that achieved measurable impact.
- Experience with a server-side language such as Python, Go, Java, or Rust, as well as TypeScript.
- Familiarity with Python, TypeScript, Next.js, GCP, and Terraform.
- Experience designing and delivering cross-stack, customer-facing products, including data pipelines or extraction systems.
- Fluency with AI-native development tools and workflows, including coding agents and tool integrations.
- Strong debugging skills in production environments and comfort working in an early-stage, fast-moving company.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, demonstrated through relevant education or equivalent professional experience.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary range: $150,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
On-site, five days per week in New York, New York, United States.
