We are currently seeking a passionate and talented Chef de Partie - Pastry (Full Time) to join our award-winning Culinary team.
About the Role
Working alongside our Head Pastry Chef, you'll play an integral role in delivering exceptional pastry experiences across the resort. From elegant desserts and artisan pastries to large-scale events and premium dining experiences, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your creativity, refine your skills, and contribute to memorable guest experiences.
This role is ideally suited to a motivated pastry professional looking to further develop their career within a luxury resort environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Head Pastry Chef in the daily operation of the Pastry Kitchen
- Preparing and producing high-quality pastries, desserts, cakes, breads, and bakery items to luxury resort standards
- Contributing to the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences across restaurants, events, conferences, weddings, and special occasions
- Maintaining consistency, presentation, and quality across all pastry offerings
- Supporting the training and development of junior culinary team members
- Assisting with stock control, ordering, and minimising waste
- Ensuring food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards are maintained at all times
- Contributing ideas and creativity to menu development and seasonal offerings
- Working collaboratively with the wider Culinary team to deliver exceptional guest experiences
What We're Looking For
We're looking for a passionate pastry professional who takes pride in their craft, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to continue developing their culinary career.
You will bring:
- Previous experience as a Pastry Chef or Chef de Partie within a hotel, resort, premium venue, or restaurant environment
- A recognised pastry or commercial cookery qualification
- Strong technical pastry skills across desserts, cakes, pastries, and bakery production
- Experience working with food safety systems and HACCP principles
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
- Creativity, passion, and pride in producing exceptional quality products
- The ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
- Full Australian working rights
