What You'll Do
As a Senior Applications Developer, you will serve as a key technical resource responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing enterprise applications that support our business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert-level support, troubleshooting, and training to business users across multiple software platforms and ERP applications.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to identify, analyze, and resolve application issues while ensuring a positive user experience.
- Design, develop, test, and implement enhancements and modifications to ERP systems and related applications.
- Manage and coordinate support requests through our IT service management processes, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Collaborate with software vendors, third-party partners, and cross-functional teams to address complex technical challenges.
- Monitor, document, and manage application changes in accordance with established Change Management procedures.
- Investigate incidents, determine business impact, and escalate issues appropriately to drive rapid resolution.
- Develop and execute SQL queries, reports, stored procedures, and data extracts to support business operations, audits, and decision-making.
- Maintain accurate documentation of troubleshooting activities, resolutions, and system changes.
- Recommend and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, reliability, and user satisfaction.
- Support a 24/7 manufacturing environment by helping ensure the stability and availability of critical business systems.
- Manage priorities effectively while maintaining compliance with service level expectations.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on iSeries/AS400 development experience.
- Strong proficiency with RPGLE and CLLE development.
- Advanced experience with database management systems and data analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries.
- Strong programming, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with Windows Server environments (2012 and newer).
- Advanced knowledge of desktop operating systems and enterprise application support.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and business leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with COBOL, AS400 printing solutions, and Profound UI.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
- Development experience using Visual Studio, VB.NET, C#, PHP, VBA, and Microsoft Access programming.
- Working knowledge of Team Foundation Server and source control practices.
- Experience with Oracle (PL/SQL), SQL Server (T-SQL), and DB2 development and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of enterprise infrastructure, data center technologies, and networking concepts.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive results with minimal supervision.
Compensation & Benefits:
- RBC offers competitive pay and benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K match, and paid time off.
Wage Range: $84,000.00 - $129,800.00
