You will lead end-to-end integration of autonomy and drive-by-wire systems for mining vehicles. You will integrate electromechanical systems, develop embedded applications, debug firmware and hardware issues, coordinate fixes, and work with customer operations teams on procedures, training, and deployment criteria.
Responsibilities- Own end-to-end product development and lead autonomy and drive-by-wire integrations through steady-state operations.
- Develop an understanding of mining vehicle architecture and software-hardware interactions, including reverse-engineering third-party systems.
- Design and evaluate sensors, actuators, and communication technologies for existing vehicle systems.
- Lead embedded application development and electromechanical-system integration on mining vehicle platforms.
- Triage issues, collect logs and telemetry, reproduce problems, and coordinate fixes with hardware and firmware teams.
- Partner with customer operations teams to establish operating procedures, training, and go/no-go criteria.
Requirements- 2+ years of experience in software integration or development.
- BS or MS in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
- Strong understanding of electromechanical systems, including assembly, setup, and debugging.
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and software/firmware engineering for real-time embedded control applications.
- Strong communication skills and comfort acting as the primary customer-facing engineer on-site.
- Experience debugging systems with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and multimeters.
