Job Title: Healthcare Security Officer
Location: Danbury, CT
Schedule: Thursday–Sunday, 5:30AM–1:30PM (32 hours per week)
Days Off: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
Pay Rate: $19.05 per hour
About the Role
We’re looking for a Healthcare Security Officer in Danbury, CT to help keep patients, visitors, and staff safe in a healthcare environment. You’ll be part of a team that protects people, property, and information while delivering professional, respectful service.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor entrances, exits, and key areas of the facility
- Provide a visible security presence and respond to incidents
- Assist patients, visitors, and staff with directions and basic information
- Enforce facility rules and regulations in a calm, professional manner
- Complete incident reports and daily activity logs accurately
- Support emergency procedures (fire, medical, security) as directed
- Work closely with healthcare staff to maintain a safe environment
Requirements
- Ability to work the set schedule: Thursday–Sunday, 05:30–13:30
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and respond quickly in emergencies
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Ability to pass background checks and meet any state/local licensing requirements
- Previous security, military, law enforcement, or healthcare experience is an asset but not required (training provided)
