Join our team as Accounting Manager!

Responsibilities:

- Prepare journal entries, reconcile general ledger accounts, and develop and prepare financial schedules, consolidated month-end financial statements, and other financial reports.

- Support the VP Finance with month-end and year-end close, annual audit activities, account reconciliations, schedules, and financial statements.

- Prepare and submit state sales tax returns.

- Review job close, job costing, and inventory validation reports for accuracy and make corrections as needed.

- Review and approve credit and rebill requests.

- Maintain fixed asset schedules and ensure additions and disposals are recorded accurately and timely.

- Process payroll for all company locations, including payroll submission and reporting, commission calculations, garnishments, and child support processing.

- Assist with annual benefits and insurance renewals.

- Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to the corporate Billing Specialist and Credit/Collections Specialist, including prioritizing workload, providing guidance and support, and ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned responsibilities.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and three to five years of progressive accounting experience preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant accounting experience may be considered may be considered based on the candidate's overall qualifications, knowledge, skills, and demonstrated ability to successfully perform the position.

- Minimum of one year of relevant accounting experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required, including experience with job costing, inventory, and/or related financial reporting.

- Previous experience providing guidance, direction, or leadership to accounting staff preferred.

- Intermediate to advanced computer and software proficiency, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams, as well as accounting and payroll systems. Must be comfortable navigating multiple systems, working with and analyzing data, and independently learning and adapting to new software and technology.

- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive financial, payroll, employee, and proprietary information.

- Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, work independently with minimal supervision, and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
