Technical Operations Specialist

The Technical Operations Specialist is responsible for leading fiber optic installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting efforts within designated fiber communities. This role involves supervising field technicians, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards, and coordinating with project managers and stakeholders to ensure seamless deployment and operation of fiber networks within our communities.Leadership & Team Coordination:- Supervise, mentor, and train fiber technicians to ensure efficient and high-quality work.

- Assign daily tasks and oversee project progress within fiber communities.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety protocols, and industry standards.

- Act as a key point of contact between field teams, engineers, and senior leadership.

Fiber Installation & Maintenance:- Oversee and perform fiber optic cable installations, including aerial and underground cabling.

- Conduct fiber splicing, terminations, and testing using OTDR, power meters, and other diagnostic tools.

- Troubleshoot fiber optic network issues and ensure prompt resolution.

- Ensure proper documentation of fiber network layouts, test results, and maintenance logs.

- Handle High volume B2B and Fiber Escalations in the Tradition, and surrounding Communities.

- Verifying light prior to installations to prevent failed installations from occurring.

- Assisting fellow Technicians and leads in the field.

- Assist with closing Ticket View Tickets to prevent escalations.

Project, Quality and Safety Management:- Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards, and client specifications.

- Conduct site surveys, risk assessments, and inspections for fiber installation projects.

- Collaborate with Senior Management and planners to optimize fiber routes and network efficiency.

- Manage Ticketing system for timely resolution on issues that arise within the Atlanta Region. Including drop repairs, replacements, and escalations.

- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to company safety policies.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Minimum of 3 years as CATV Service Tech or related technical experience.

- Technical Lead Experience Preferred.

- Valid Georgia Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record.
