Role Purpose:
The Regional Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the management and coordination of all regional warehouse activities over 3 locations. Assures all departments pursue continuous improvement, positive leadership and provide quality services to our external and internal customers. Directs and controls warehouse activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing inventory; and manages the quality and safety aspects of the warehouse.
As Regional Warehouse Manager, you will:
- Leads and directs the warehouse managers and warehouse leads for all shifts.
- Responsible for creating a safe work environment and working with EHS Manager for our employees through the McNaughton-McKay safety program and OSHA guidelines.
- Responsible for the quality system in the warehouses and leads the effort in the warehouses to receive ISO certification.
- Strong focus on developing employees for future career opportunities.
- Coordinates regular meetings with warehouse supervisors, and other members of leadership from related departments.
- Strong focus on continuous improvement, culture, and professionalism.
- Responsible for meeting customer service commitments on all shifts.
- Provides leadership in all warehouses to facilitate large projects.
- Ensures that warehouse team members are performing in accordance with established work instructions.
- Works with supervisors to coordinate the workload of warehouse employees, shift schedules, and expedites workflow.
- Directs supervisors and team members to maintain facilities in tour ready condition.
- Monitors warehouse business reports to ensure efficiency.
- Conducts annual performance evaluation reviews.
- Oversees department budget and controls costs.
- Ensures that all safety policies and procedures are followed, and safety training is completed.
Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Include:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not a requirement; additional experience will be considered in lieu of education.
- At least five years’ industry experience with a minimum of two years in a leadership, supervisory or management position.
- Experience with inventory controls, warehouse layout and design, shipping, receiving, and scheduling is preferred.
- Proven leadership ability with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to deal with all aspects of personnel issues.
- Requires problem solving capabilities, and the ability to react quickly to complex situations.
- Working knowledge of MS Office products including Word & Excel.
- Ability to analyze information requirements and needs, identify problems, and solve them to ensure efficient utilization of work processes.
- Working knowledge of WebUI Business System and MS Office products
