About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to support the sales process and deliver engineered solutions aligned with customer requirements. The role collaborates with customers and internal teams to develop proposals, specifications, and product recommendations. This position drives revenue growth, supports customer satisfaction, and ensures successful delivery solutions.
What You’ll Do
Technical Sales & Solution Development
- Engage customers to gather technical requirements, specifications, and project constraints.
- Develop engineered solutions that meet structural, access and manufacturing requirements.
- Prepare technical proposals, submittals, and supporting documentation for customer review.
- Support bid responses ensuring compliance with project specifications and requirements.
- Provide technical expertise during presentations, meetings, and customer engagements.
- Collaborate within cross functional teams including Electrical, Air Handling Units, and Liquid Cooling Manifolds to build out our modular engineered solutions.
- Design fabricated steel frames using bolted, welded, riveted, and screwed connections in collaboration with structural engineers to suit dimensional and loading requirements
Customer Support & Project Coordination
- Serve as primary technical contact throughout the pre-sales and proposal process.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure solution feasibility.
- Support project handoff ensuring alignment between sales, engineering, and production teams.
- Respond to technical inquiries and resolve customer challenges in a timely manner.
- Build strong relationships with customers to support long-term business growth.
- Provide post-sale technical support to ensure product performance and satisfaction.
Product Development & Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to expand product offerings and increase customer value.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and contractual obligations.
- Provide feedback on customer needs, market trends, and competitive positioning.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to improve offerings based on customer insights.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance sales processes and tools.
- Maintain documentation on lessons learned and difficulties to allow for future improvements
Additional Expectations
- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
- Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
- Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field required.
- 3 - 7 years of experience in technical sales, engineering, or related roles required.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and product application solutions.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and submittals.
- Experience developing technical proposals and supporting customer-facing engagements.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to develop customized technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with customer-facing experience.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize competing demands effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems is preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or data center environments preferred.
