Merchandising Supervisor

At Glazer’s Beer & Beverage, we are looking for a hands-on Merchandising Supervisor to lead, coach, and support a field-based team of merchandisers while ensuring retail execution standards are met across assigned customer accounts. This role requires regular market presence, direct observation of merchandising work, and hands-on support when business needs require it.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will support daily field execution, customer account needs, and retail standards.
- Conduct daily account visits and maintain regular market presence.
- Monitor merchandising execution, display compliance, shelf conditions, cooler standards, and retail execution quality.
- Conduct ride-alongs, field observations, and in-store coaching with merchandisers.
- Build, replenish, and maintain retail displays when business needs require support.
- Support stocking, product rotation, shelf/cooler replenishment, and route coverage during operational shortages.
- Work in retail sales floors, store backrooms, coolers, warehouse areas, and customer account environments.
- Resolve retailer execution issues and partner with Sales and Delivery teams to improve service and execution.
- Ensure assigned merchandisers complete daily work in accordance with company standards.
- Support safety, productivity, and customer service expectations in the field.
- Develop schedules that balance customer needs, staffing levels, and business priorities.
- Collaborate with peers and business partners to achieve department objectives and support continuous improvement.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Expected Time Allocation
- 60–80% Field Execution and Market Support
- 10–20% Employee Coaching and Development
- 10–20% Administrative Responsibilities

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Three or more years of merchandising experience, preferably in retail, beverage, consumer goods, or a related field.
- One or more years of supervisory, lead, or team-coaching experience.
- Current, valid driver’s license and ability to travel between customer locations.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and business-driven schedule changes.
- Access to a smartphone device for work-related communication, scheduling, and field support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong communication, presentation, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build productive relationships across teams, customers, and business partners.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Physical Requirements
The employee regularly:
- Walks throughout retail locations and customer accounts.
- Stands for extended periods of time.
- Travels between multiple customer locations daily.
- Bends, stoops, kneels, squats, twists, and reaches while merchandising products.
- Pushes and pulls loaded carts, hand trucks, pallets, and display materials.
- Works in store backrooms, coolers, and storage areas.
The employee frequently:
- Lifts, carries, lowers, and moves beverage products and display materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Performs repetitive merchandising activities throughout the workday.
- Repeatedly handles and stacks beverage cases onto shelves, floor displays, pallets, and cooler locations.
- Builds, replenishes, and maintains retail displays.
- Stocks shelves, coolers, floor stacks, and promotional displays.
- Moves product from backroom storage to the sales floor.
- Performs repeated bending, reaching, lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing, pulling, and case stacking as part of normal merchandising activity.
The employee occasionally:
- Assists with large display builds, resets, and special merchandising projects.
- Moves heavier materials using appropriate equipment or assistance when needed.
- Provides additional route or account support during staffing shortages, peak periods, or business needs.
