Position Summary
S&R Vapor Recovery is seeking a detail-oriented Safety Specialist to support the Safety Coordinator in maintaining and improving the company's Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs. This position provides administrative and field support for safety compliance, employee training records, contractor management systems, incident documentation, onboarding, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the oil and gas industry, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, ISNetworld (ISN), and Veriforce is preferred but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Assist the Safety Coordinator with daily administration of company safety programs.
· Maintain employee training records and certifications.
· Track required training, expirations, and recertifications.
· Assist with new hire onboarding and orientation processes.
· Prepare training rosters, sign-in sheets, and training documentation.
· Support contractor compliance requirements through ISNetworld (ISN), Veriforce, and other customer management systems.
· Assist with incident, injury, spill, vehicle accident, and near-miss reporting documentation.
· Maintain safety files and records in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
· Assist with safety audits, inspections, and corrective action tracking.
· Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and compliance documentation using Microsoft Office products.
· Monitor and track employee qualifications, certifications, and competency requirements.
· Assist with updating safety policies, procedures, forms, and manuals.
· Coordinate safety meetings and distribute safety communications.
· Support document management in OneDrive, and Microsoft Teams.
· Assist operations management with customer-specific safety requirements.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Safety Coordinator.
Qualifications Required
· Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
· Excellent organizational and recordkeeping skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to manage confidential information professionally.
· Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.
Preferred
· Experience in the oil and gas industry.
· Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
· Experience with ISNetworld (ISN).
· Experience with Veriforce.
· Experience maintaining training records and compliance documentation.
· Knowledge of HSE programs, incident investigations, and contractor management systems.
