We’re all about helping our members make the most of their money. And while they go after their goals, you can too. As an Executive Reward Specialist, you’ll play an influential role in delivering executive remuneration, reward governance and regulatory activities across Australian Retirement Trust.

You’ll lead important executive performance and reward processes, provide specialist advice on complex remuneration matters, and help ensure our frameworks continue to meet CPS 511 Remuneration and Financial Accountability Regime requirements.

Working closely with the Office of FAR, Risk, Compliance, Secretariat, Accountability, Legal and Finance teams, you’ll turn detailed regulatory and market information into clear insights and practical recommendations. Your expertise will also support Board and Committee discussions, executive remuneration decisions and the continued development of our Performance and Reward Strategy.

This is an opportunity to apply your technical reward expertise in a complex, purpose-led organisation, while working with senior stakeholders on matters that have enterprise-wide impact.

This role is a permanent opportunity and is based in Brisbane or Melbourne.

Day to day, you'll:

- Lead the planning, coordination and delivery of cyclical performance and reward activities for the Executive Cohort.

- Manage executive goal setting, performance assessment, calibration, fixed remuneration reviews and variable reward processes.

- Maintain executive performance scorecards and coordinate executive performance assessment activities.

- Provide advice and recommendations on executive appointments, promotions and other remuneration matters.

- Review relevant markets and deliver insights on executive benchmarking, remuneration trends and industry developments.

- Lead the preparation and delivery of the Annual Remuneration Report and other remuneration-related disclosures including CPS511 & WGEA.

- Prepare remuneration insights, analysis and recommendations for Board and Committee discussions.

- Support Director Fee benchmarking, policy updates and related governance activities.

- Act as a subject matter expert on CPS 511 and FAR remuneration requirements.

- Manage annual CPS 511 remuneration compliance reviews and coordinate reward inputs into independent triennial reviews.

- Partner with the Office of FAR and other stakeholders to maintain and enhance reward elements of the FAR Framework.

- Review reward policies and processes to support regulatory compliance and effective consequence management.

- Monitor regulatory, industry and organisational developments, identifying implications for reward governance.

- Contribute to the continued development of Australian Retirement Trust’s Performance and Reward Strategy.

- Build trusted relationships across People and Culture, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance and other key business areas.

It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too:

- You have extensive remuneration experience, ideally gained within financial services or another regulated environment.

- Your knowledge includes reward policies, regulations, incentive plans and end-to-end performance and reward cycles.

- You’ll bring technical knowledge of remuneration practices and regulatory requirements within the Australian financial services industry.

- You’re confident interpreting and applying CPS 511, FAR or comparable remuneration governance requirements.

- You have experience independently preparing high-quality policies, governance papers, Board papers or Committee materials.

- Your analytical capability allows you to translate complex remuneration data and regulatory information into clear recommendations.

- You’ll be comfortable navigating a fast-paced and complex environment while maintaining accuracy and sound judgement.

- You’re experienced in supporting senior stakeholders directly and building trusted relationships across multiple business areas.

- You have strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.

- Your experience with systems such as Oracle HCM would be advantageous.
