We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join a large-scale technology transformation program within a secure and highly regulated environment.

This is a hands-on engineering role responsible for building, automating and supporting Azure cloud platforms, enabling application teams to rapidly and securely deploy workloads while maintaining alignment with enterprise security, governance and operational standards.

Working as part of a multidisciplinary cloud team, you will collaborate with architects, security specialists, developers and infrastructure engineers to deliver scalable, secure and automated cloud solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, provision and support Azure infrastructure and platform services.

- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Bicep and ARM templates.

- Build, enhance and support Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.

- Configure and manage Azure networking, identity and security services.

- Support cloud migration and application modernisation initiatives.

- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting and operational support capabilities.

- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud platform, deployment and infrastructure issues.

- Develop reusable templates, modules and automation frameworks.

- Ensure cloud solutions meet security, governance and compliance requirements.

- Collaborate closely with architecture, engineering, security and delivery teams.

Required Skills & Experience

- NV1 Security Clearance is a must and willing to work onsite in Canberra

- Strong experience designing, deploying and supporting solutions within Microsoft Azure.

- Demonstrated Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform, Bicep and/or ARM Templates.

- Experience building and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

- Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity and security services.

- Experience deploying and supporting Azure Landing Zone-based environments.

- Knowledge of cloud governance, security controls and operational best practices.

- Experience working within Agile, DevOps or modern delivery environments.

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability.

- Excellent stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently within complex enterprise environments.
