Stackline is on a mission to fuel the future of commerce by bringing brands and customers closer together.

About the Role

The way consumers discover and buy products is being rewritten, and Stackline sits at the center of that shift. As a Senior Manager on the Strategic Insights team, you'll be the strategic advisor to some of the world's most recognized brands. You'll help them answer hard, open-ended questions about growth, competitive position, and where to invest as AI shopping agents and real-time data reshape how purchase decisions get made.

This is a consulting role that happens to sit inside a data company. You'll take ambiguous client problems, break them into a structured plan, and pressure-test hypotheses against Stackline's proprietary datasets. Then you'll land a clear recommendation and walk an executive audience through it. You'll own engagements end to end, from scoping through delivery, and you'll help shape how the team builds and scales its offerings. If you've done strategy work at a consulting firm or in-house and want to apply it to the fastest-changing corner of commerce, this role was built for you.

What You Will Do

Strategic Problem Solving

- Frame ambiguous client questions into structured, hypothesis-driven workplans, and choose the analytical approach that actually answers the question

- Analyze market, category, competitor, financial, and operational data to synthesize strategic options and a clear point of view

- Build business cases, pricing and promotion analyses, and forecasts that connect ecommerce levers to revenue, share, and margin outcomes

- Develop recommendations across short-, mid-, and long-term horizons, from near-term optimizations to operating model and capability changes

Ecommerce Strategy & AI Shopping

- Advise clients on winning across both the traditional digital shelf and the emerging agentic shelf, where AI assistants like Amazon Alexa, ChatGPT Shopping, and Perplexity increasingly drive purchase decisions

- Identify growth opportunities across AI shopping visibility, content, pricing, promotions, and advertising, and quantify their business impact

- Stay ahead of category and industry trends through market research, and bring new ideas to clients proactively

Client & Engagement Leadership

- Own and grow relationships with a portfolio of leading global brands as their primary strategic advisor

- Lead multiple concurrent engagements, directing the work from scoping through final quality review so every deliverable is accurate, rigorous, and client-ready

- Tell a structured, clear, and visually compelling story: turn complex analysis into executive presentations, frameworks, and one-pagers that drive decisions

- Manage demanding senior stakeholders with confidence, including transparent conversations about priorities and trade-offs

- Partner with Stackline's product, sales, and client success teams to drive alignment and execution on client priorities

Building the Practice

- Use a robust AI stack, including Stackline's AI Visibility and Advisor platforms plus tools like Claude and ChatGPT, to accelerate research and raise the quality of deliverables

- Identify opportunities to scale or automate existing service offerings and contribute to how the team evolves its delivery model

- Create reusable intellectual property (frameworks, playbooks, points of view) that builds the team's knowledge base

- Mentor junior team members and provide clear guidance that raises the quality and consistency of the team's work

- Shape new engagements with clients, scope the work, and identify expansion opportunities within your portfolio.
