About the Role

DXC Technology seeks a Senior Consultant / Lead Consultant specialising in SAP S/4HANA Cross-Application Time Sheet (CATS) to lead implementation and optimisation of enterprise-wide time recording solutions. CATS is a cross-functional SAP capability letting employees record working time against HR orders, Project System (PS) work breakdown structures, Plant Maintenance (PM) orders, Controlling (CO) cost objects, and Materials Management (MM) activities from a single unified time sheet.

You will design, configure, and deploy CATS solutions in S/4HANA environments, ensuring accurate time data capture for HR payroll and financial/project cost allocation. Working with HR, Finance, Project Management, and Operations stakeholders, you will deliver end-to-end CATS solutions aligned with client requirements, driving solution design through configuration, testing, and go-live support.

Essential Job Functions

• Configure SAP S/4HANA CATS (Classic CATS and CATS for Service Providers), including data entry profiles, time recording profiles, field selection, and task list management.

• Design CATS data entry profiles for multiple employee groups: internal staff, subcontractors, external workers, and service personnel.

• Set up time recording categories covering regular working time, project time, overtime, training, travel, on-call duty, and absence recording via CATS.

• Configure CATS Notebook for offline and mobile time entry, enabling field workers to record time without continuous system connectivity.

• Implement CATS approval workflows, including line manager, project manager, cost object controller, and multi-level approval scenarios.

• Configure period-lock controls, retro-entry permissions, time correction workflows, and mass approval functionalities in CATS.

• Implement CATS integration with Project Systems (PS) for time recording against WBS elements, networks, and activities for project cost tracking and progress reporting.

• Configure CATS integration with Plant Maintenance (PM) for recording labour time against PM orders, operations, and maintenance plans for equipment cost analysis.

• Set up CATS integration with Controlling (CO) for time postings to CO internal orders, cost centres, and activity types for financial cost allocation.

• Configure CATS integration with Materials Management (MM), including service entry sheets and purchase order-based time confirmations for contractor billing scenarios.

• Design and implement CATS data transfer programs (CATSXT, CATSCO, CATSP, CATPM) and schedule background jobs for automatic time data transfer.

• Deploy SAP Fiori apps for CATS, including My Timesheet V4, Approve Timesheet, Manage Time Sheets, and manager-facing time overview apps.

• Configure hybrid time management landscapes, integrating S/4HANA Time Management with SuccessFactors Time Off for absence requests and employee self-service.

• Ensure seamless integration between S/4HANA Time Management and Payroll, covering time wage type transfer, absence valuation, and time quota payout processing.

• Develop CATS functional design documents, configuration guides, integration test plans, and end-user training materials.

• Execute unit, string, and cross-module integration testing (CATS-HR, CATS-PS, CATS-CO, CATS-PM) to validate end-to-end time data flows.

• Design CATS authorisation concepts, defining access roles for employees, project managers, cost object controllers, and HR administrators.

• Lead go-live activities, including production cutover for open project orders, CATS opening balance entries, and post-go-live hypercare support.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 6–10 years of SAP HCM / S/4HANA experience, including at least 4 years specialising in CATS configuration and cross-module integration.

• Minimum 3 full-lifecycle implementations as lead consultant for CATS.

• Proven experience integrating CATS with at least two of: PS, PM, CO, HR Time Management, MM.

• Demonstrated experience activating and deploying S/4HANA CATS Fiori apps.

Nice to have

• Experience in ECC-to-S/4HANA migration projects involving CATS is a strong advantage.

• SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA (HCM or Finance area) — preferred.
