Our technology-enabled proprietary analytics—powered by real-time data, AI and global research—support strategic decision-making, scenario and resilience analysis, economic impact assessment, policy and regulatory advice, and investment and market analysis. We combine rigorous economics with senior commercial judgement to deliver practical, defensible advice.
We are seeking an experienced Director, based in a Kroll office in the United States, to help lead the continued growth of Kroll Economics across North America. The successful candidate will be a senior member of the global Economics practice, responsible for originating and converting opportunities, building trusted client relationships and leading high-quality delivery. The role combines commercial leadership, hands-on engagement oversight and close collaboration across Kroll’s global network. Appointment level will reflect the successful candidate’s experience and track record.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build and convert a strong pipeline of Economics opportunities across North America, with clear accountability for personal and practice revenue growth.
- Develop trusted relationships with senior decision-makers across corporates, private equity, sovereign investors, financial institutions, law firms and public-sector organisations, using market presence, networks and thought leadership to create sustained client work.
- Lead senior client conversations and shape compelling propositions, overseeing proposals, pitches, commercial terms and conversion.
- Direct complex, high-value engagements from scope through delivery, ensuring that analysis is rigorous, commercially relevant, clearly communicated and responsive to client needs.
- Advise clients on geoeconomic risk and resilience, macroeconomic and market developments, scenarios and stress testing, economic impact, investment decisions, and the business implications of changing policy and regulation.
- Translate economic, policy and regulatory analysis into practical implications and recommendations for boards, investment committees and senior executives.
- Act as a senior member of the global Kroll Economics practice, helping shape its strategy, propositions, quality standards and market profile while building, inspiring and connecting colleagues in North America as fully integrated members of the global team.
- Work across One Kroll to originate and deliver multidisciplinary opportunities, bringing together economic, financial, risk, investigations, valuation and broader advisory capabilities where relevant.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Significant senior-level experience in economics, strategy, risk, policy, investment or a related advisory field, with a strong record of winning and leading complex client engagements.
- Demonstrable success generating revenue, developing markets and converting senior relationships into sustained client work in North America.
- Credibility with boards, C-suite executives, investors, legal advisers and senior public-sector stakeholders, together with the judgement to advise on commercially sensitive issues.
- Strong understanding of macroeconomic, geopolitical, market, policy and regulatory issues and their implications for organisations, investments and assets.
- Ability to frame analytical questions, challenge evidence and methods, and translate technical outputs into clear client advice. Advanced hands-on economic modelling expertise is advantageous but not essential where the candidate has a strong record of leading technical teams.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering consistently high-quality work across multiple concurrent engagements.
- A collaborative leadership style and the ability to operate effectively as a senior member of a global practice and across the wider Kroll organisation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex analysis persuasively to senior audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in economics, finance, public policy, business or a related field.
- Based in a Kroll office in the United States, with willingness to travel as required for clients and practice leadership.
