Here’s what you’ll do during a typical day as an Assistant Restaurant Manager at Conrad Dubai:
- Lead Daily Operations: Oversee pool bar operations, ensuring seamless service, operational efficiency, and exceptional standards throughout the guest experience.
- Deliver Thoughtful Service: Anticipate guest needs, build genuine connections, and resolve feedback or concerns with professionalism, warmth, and care.
- Inspire the Team: Supervise pool bar colleagues during each shift, fostering a collaborative, motivated, and service-focused environment.
- Develop Talent: Support staff appraisals, performance reviews, coaching, and recognition while strengthening beverage knowledge and service expertise.
- Set the Standard: Conduct daily briefings covering occupancy, VIP guests, events, promotions, and operational priorities to ensure the team is prepared for every occasion.
- Uphold Brand Excellence: Support the Restaurant Manager in implementing policies, procedures, and service standards, deputising when required to maintain operational continuity.
- Maximise Revenue: Drive sales through thoughtful recommendations, cocktail and beverage upselling, and engaging poolside promotions while enhancing the guest experience.
- Manage Costs and Stock: Assist with budgeting, revenue reporting, beverage cost control, stock monitoring, and timely ordering in coordination with suppliers and Stores.
- Maintain Impeccable Presentation: Ensure the pool bar, service stations, equipment, and surrounding areas are prepared to the highest standards before and throughout service.
- Champion Safety and Compliance: Uphold health and safety regulations, poolside safety requirements, responsible alcohol service, hygiene standards, COSHH procedures, risk assessments, and audit requirements.
- Ensure Accurate Controls: Maintain precise operational records, inventory documentation, cash-handling procedures, and audit-ready records in line with company policies.
- Foster Accountability: Monitor performance against established standards and address disciplinary matters or grievances fairly, discreetly, and in accordance with company procedures.
- Create Seamless Collaboration: Partner with resort departments to coordinate poolside service, anticipate operational needs, and deliver a consistently polished guest experience.
- Lead with Professionalism: Maintain impeccable personal grooming, appearance, and hygiene while setting a positive example of luxury hospitality and attention to detail.
