Transportation Clerk

What You'll Be Doing
Job Scope: Responsible for supporting daily transportation and logistics operations by coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate documentation, tracking deliveries, and communicating with drivers, carriers, and internal teams.
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Check drivers into site
- Verify all paperwork is correct- Verify shipments against BOLs, packing slips, and COAs
- Communicate discrepancies to relevant departments
- Upload paperwork to online trailer tracking system
- Ensure all information between the paperwork and system is correct
- Communicate with onsite personnel when trailers arrive
- Ensure all outbound paperwork is correct and ready for shipment
- Weigh all trailers in and out of the site
- Work with the Logistics team to coordinate shipments and resolve any trailer/paperwork issues
- Follow detailed procedures for waste shipments
- Ensure proper paperwork is transferred to the logistics department
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records
- Answer phone calls and emails regarding deliveries and logistics subjects
- Follow DOT and other regulatory compliance requirements
- Work closely with security, operations, logistics, quality, EHS
Ideal BackgroundEducation: HS Diploma
Experience: 1+ years of customer service or logistics experience preferred.
