- Validate surgical readiness by meticulously inspecting and assembling instrument sets, ensuring every tool is functional and high-quality before it enters the OR.
- Master complex sterilization technology to decontaminate and process equipment, strictly following safety protocols to eliminate the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
- Safeguard the surgical workflow by precisely managing inventory and case carts, ensuring our surgeons always have the exact tools they need, exactly when they need them.
- Uphold a culture of excellence through collaborative quality audits, providing peer feedback that maintains our department's gold standard of care.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM) Preferred.
- Central Service Tech specializing in Sterile Processing credentialed from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) Preferred.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
