Job Purpose

The Quality Manager will coordinate the governance and assurance activities required within the Project team and sub-contractor/supplier base to ensure that the project and UGL Transport obligations as defined in the Project Management Plan and quality plan are delivered.

The role will focus on ensuring that requirements of the contract and UGL Transport procedures are implemented, ensuring competency management and flow down of project obligations to the contributing partners and suppliers. Support will also be provided to the project Quality team in the areas of audit and review planning, action management and auditing of the JV partners and suppliers for compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare, maintain and implement of quality management plan

Prepare, maintain and implement quality auditing program

Conduct quality audits to confirm their compliance with their contractual obligations.

Support internal and external technical and management process compliance audits

Establish project audit findings database (Synergy) and monitoring of corrective action closeout

Manage the implementation of the defect and CAPA process

Prepare project quality reporting as directed

Interface with Client and Sub-contractor representatives on all quality matters

Coordinate quality the interface requirements into the relevant project teams; e.g. Design, Procurement, Quality etc.

Supporting the implementation of project competency

Preparation of the Management Review program

Facilitate management review activities with the responsible parties.

lead audit to ensure that the audit program is maintained.

Qualifications

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering

Formal auditing qualification

Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.

Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
