ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an early-stage B2B identity and cybersecurity company as its first dedicated security engineer. You will shape the security function hands-on, partnering with engineering to build secure product systems and mature security practices as the team grows.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own security across the product lifecycle, partnering with engineering from design through implementation.
- Build security systems, including secrets management, certificate infrastructure, audit logging, and vulnerability management.
- Lead security reviews, threat modeling, secure design consultations, and in-product vulnerability remediation.
- Develop detection capabilities, support triage, and mature incident response processes.
- Drive security compliance from an engineering perspective, including SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR.
- Contribute across product security, corporate security, and compliance, with the opportunity to grow the security function over time.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 5 years of security engineering experience, with recent hands-on product or application security work at a B2B SaaS or fintech company.
- Production Go experience building services or security systems, along with Python experience for detection and triage automation.
- Experience building or contributing to security programs in early-stage or 0-to-1 environments, and working as a security generalist across teams.
- Hands-on detection engineering and incident response experience, including SIEM or detection-as-code tools such as Splunk, Panther, or Sigma.
- Experience with SOC 2, ISO 27001, and GDPR, plus cloud and Kubernetes security, ideally with GCP.
- Familiarity with OAuth, SAML, OIDC, WebAuthn, identity and access management, or enterprise IT and security software.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary is $180,000 to $230,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

Fully remote within the United States.
