The Opportunity

Our Business & Wealth team is seeking a hands-on Senior AI Scientist to help shape an AI-enabled credit lifecycle that is faster, clearer and built for responsible use.

You will deliver complex AI use cases across origination, assessment, servicing and ongoing credit monitoring. That means combining predictive analytics, document intelligence and agentic workflows to help bankers and credit teams prepare more effectively, reduce avoidable rework and make stronger use of traceable information, while authorised credit decisions remain with the right owners.

Importantly, you will make complex credit work feel less complex, extract the right evidence, and surface the right insight. Design the right human checkpoint. Then prove the solution works in the real workflow

Responsibilities …

- Translate program priorities into deliverable AI use cases with agreed users, benefits, controls and acceptance criteria.

- Develop document-intelligence and analytical solutions that support financial assessment and credit preparation.

- Build AI-assisted workflows for credit review, servicing and monitoring, aligned with approved program priorities.

- Evaluate model performance, extracted information and generated outputs for accuracy, completeness and explainability.

- Design human review, traceable evidence and clear escalation paths while preserving credit-policy, approval and risk-acceptance accountabilities.

- Apply Model Risk, Responsible AI, privacy and security controls and support independent validation and required approvals.

- Partner with engineering and credit users on integration, testing and controlled release into operational workflows.

- Monitor adoption, quality and credit-process outcomes, addressing drift, errors and unintended customer impacts.

- Maintain review-ready documentation, share reusable patterns, mentor practitioners and escalate material program dependencies.

Essential ingredients for success …

- Strong applied Data Science experience in predictive modelling, financial analytics, credit, lending or adjacent decision-intensive domains.

- Hands-on NLP or document-intelligence experience, such as extraction, classification, summarisation or evidence linking across complex documents.

- Deep Practical GenAI or Agentic-workflow delivery with human review, traceability, escalation and clearly controlled actions.

- Strong model-evaluation judgement across accuracy, completeness, explainability, stability and production behaviour.

- Advanced Python and SQL capability and experience partnering on production integration, testing and monitoring.

- Sound understanding of Model Risk, Responsible AI, privacy, security and independent validation in a governed environment.

- The ability to work across programs, Credit Risk, business, Technology and Operations teams and mentor other practitioners.

The Impact you will make …

- More timely lending journeys, clearer information and fair customer treatment.

- Better assessment quality, shorter cycle time and less manual rework.

- Reliable evidence, stable models and effective approval controls.

- Strong program adoption, workflow integration and verified benefits.

- Growing credit-AI capability, stronger reviews and shared delivery learning.
