ABOUT THE ROLE
Join an applied AI research and data team to lead legal-focused projects that help develop high-quality datasets for advanced AI systems. You will own client relationships and project delivery while working across expert teams and internal initiatives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Work with leading AI research organizations to develop datasets that capture expert legal reasoning.
- Manage teams of domain experts and ensure projects are delivered to a high standard under tight deadlines.
- Own client relationships and project execution from planning through delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams on AI research and company-wide initiatives.
- Support operational projects as an early member of the team.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 3 years of substantive legal experience in a leading law firm, an in-house legal team, government or regulatory work, or a legal technology startup.
- A JD or equivalent legal qualification, with experience drafting, negotiating, litigating, or providing legal advice.
- Strong legal reasoning and research skills, with the ability to distinguish rigorous analysis from superficial answers.
- Excellent communication, client management, and end-to-end project ownership skills.
- Experience in a demanding environment such as consulting, investment banking, a startup, or legal practice.
- An undergraduate degree from a US, Canadian, or European institution.
- Willingness to work an intensive schedule, including five weekdays and some Sunday availability, with the ability to work 60 or more hours when needed.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $150,000 to $200,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
