We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our catering team in Dublin, Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to become an integral part of a busy kitchen operation, where you will help maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene whilst supporting our kitchen team in delivering exceptional food service. You will work in a collaborative, supportive environment where your contributions are valued and your development is encouraged. - Wash dishes, crockery, cutlery, utensils, and kitchen equipment safely and efficiently using appropriate dishwashing equipment and techniques
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation throughout the kitchen and back-of-house areas to the highest standards, ensuring all surfaces and equipment are sanitised - Assist with waste disposal and recycling procedures in accordance with company policy and environmental best practice - Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks when required, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to learn
- Receive and store deliveries safely and correctly, ensuring proper inventory management, stock rotation, and basic record-keeping - Complete cleaning schedules to a high standard and ensure all areas are ready for service, working efficiently within tight timeframes - Follow food safety, COSHH, health and safety, and company procedures at all times, maintaining awareness of potential hazards
- Help keep the kitchen organised, safe, and efficient throughout each service, identifying opportunities for improvement - Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and contribute to a positive working atmosphere - Demonstrate physical capability to lift, carry, and handle heavy items safely, maintaining good manual dexterity and coordination

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding environment without compromising on quality - Manual dexterity and good coordination for handling kitchen equipment and items - Physical stamina and capability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks - Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely, with good understanding of manual handling principles
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and adhere to established procedures - Understanding of waste management and recycling procedures - Basic numeracy skills for inventory management and stock rotation - Awareness of health and safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment **Desirable:**
- Previous experience as a kitchen porter or in a cleaning or hospitality role - Basic knowledge of food safety principles and COSHH regulations - Experience working in a fast-paced catering or hospitality environment - Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and dishwashing systems
