Safety Manager

The Safety Manager leads the company’s safety program, driving safety standards, training, compliance, communications, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. As the primary enterprise safety resource, this role partners with operations, support functions, and leadership teams to ensure safety requirements are understood, consistently executed, properly documented, and compliant with applicable regulations. The Safety Manager supports risk mitigation, workplace safety programs, and field safety initiatives while balancing regulatory compliance, operational needs, and associate safety across multiple business units and locations.

Compensation: $75 - $95K

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Responsibilities:

Safety Program Leadership & Governance

· Lead and continuously improve enterprise safety programs, policies, standards, and procedures.

· Establish consistent safety practices and promote standardization across business units.

· Partner with operational leaders to implement practical, scalable safety processes.

Support safety objectives, performance measurement, and program accountability.

Regulatory Compliance

· Monitor and communicate applicable safety regulations and requirements.

· Coordinate regulatory inspections, audits, inquiries, and corrective actions.

· Maintain required safety documentation, records, and reporting.

· Support organizational readiness for regulatory and customer compliance reviews.

Risk Management & Incident Prevention

· Identify workplace safety risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

· Analyze incidents, injuries, near misses, and trends to drive prevention efforts.

· Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans.

· Partner with stakeholders on injury prevention, return-to-work, and risk reduction initiatives.

Field Operations Support

· Serve as the primary safety resource for field leaders and teams.

· Provide guidance on safety requirements, customer expectations, and regulatory concerns.

· Support consistent implementation of safety programs across locations and business units.

· Promote a culture of safety ownership and accountability.

Customer & Worksite Safety

· Partner with customers and internal teams to address safety requirements and expectations.

· Support customer audits, assessments, questionnaires, and safety documentation requests.

· Evaluate worksite safety requirements and recommend appropriate controls.

· Ensure customer-specific safety obligations are communicated and executed effectively.

Training & Safety Communication

· Partner with Learning & Development and business leaders to deliver safety training programs.

· Develop safety awareness initiatives, communications, and field resources.

· Ensure regulatory and procedural changes are incorporated into training and communications.

· Reinforce safety expectations through education and leadership support.

Safety Performance & Continuous Improvement

· Develop and maintain safety metrics, reporting, and dashboards.

· Monitor performance trends and provide recommendations to reduce risk and improve outcomes.

· Conduct audits and assessments to evaluate compliance and program effectiveness.

· Drive continuous improvement through standardization, preventive practices, and operational excellence.

Position Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Safety, EHS, Business, Operations, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· 5+ years of experience in workplace safety, EHS, compliance, risk management, or operations.

· Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, recordkeeping requirements, and workplace safety compliance.

· Experience managing multi-site safety programs, audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions.

· Strong communication, analytical, project management, and stakeholder management skills.

· Ability to work effectively with leaders, employees, customers, and regulatory agencies.

· Ability to travel as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience in staffing, workforce solutions, manufacturing, construction, logistics, or other multi-site environments.

· Experience supporting temporary employees and customer-controlled worksites.

· Professional safety certification (CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, ARM, or equivalent).

· Experience with OSHA inspections, workers' compensation, claims management, or enterprise risk programs.

· Experience developing safety metrics, dashboards, and performance reporting.
