About the Opportunity- Join a high-profile modernisation program delivering next-generation digital and integration capabilities within a major Federal Government environment.
- Play a central role in assisting the agency to shape its long-term container strategy while driving CI/CD automation, security practices, and infrastructure resilience.
What's on Offer- Contract/Engagement: Initial contract through to EOFY 2027 (June 2027) + strong likelihood of long-term extensions through 2029.

Role & Responsibilities- Automate CI/CD & Deployments: Design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes for enterprise integration solutions with a strong focus on efficiency and uptime.
- Manage Enterprise Environments: Oversee configuration and management across development, testing, and production environments to accurately replicate real-world conditions for rigorous integration testing.
- Drive Container & Automation Strategy: Assist in formulating the agency's long-term container strategy using modern automation tooling, infrastructure as code, and cloud best practices.
- Integrate Pipeline Security & Testing: Embed automated security testing-including Static Application Security Testing (SAST) and Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST)-directly into delivery pipelines to protect system integrity.
- Implement Monitoring & Observability: Establish end-to-end monitoring and alerting solutions to proactively track application performance, security, and system availability.
- Collaborate Across Cross-Functional Teams: Partner closely with developers, system analysts, and integration testers to align DevOps methodologies with project delivery milestones and foster a continuous improvement culture.
- Maintain Technical Documentation: Produce clear, comprehensive documentation for deployment pipelines, environment configurations, and operational standards to support long-term knowledge sharing.
Skills & ExperienceTo be successful in this position, you will ideally bring:
- Technical Toolkit: Azure DevOps, YAML, PowerShell, ARM Templates, Bicep, Docker/Kubernetes containerisation technologies, and CI/CD security tooling (SAST/DAST).
- Experience: Proven track record as a DevOps Engineer working within complex cloud environments, building resilient deployment pipelines, and managing multi-environment infrastructure.
- Core Capabilities: Strong problem-solving abilities to resolve complex application performance issues, along with excellent collaboration and communication skills to interface with cross-functional technical teams.
Eligibility & Clearance Requirements- Security Clearance: Due to the nature of this environment, candidates must hold a current active Baseline security clearance prior to commencement. Australian Citizenship is required.
