ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a fintech engineering team building payment infrastructure for nonprofit organizations. As a backend or full-stack engineer, you will own systems from design through production and help shape the platform's architecture and development practices.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Build and maintain backend services and components that support the payment platform from initial design through production.
- Contribute to architecture decisions across APIs, backend systems, and infrastructure, and help establish engineering standards.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teammates on technical design discussions and tradeoffs.
- Improve monitoring and alerting to better understand system and user behavior.
- Work across the platform on projects that may span backend and full-stack areas.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Two to ten years of backend engineering experience, including ownership of scalable systems from design to delivery.
- Proficiency in Go or Node.js, with production experience using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS, Terraform, PostgreSQL, REST APIs, and gRPC.
- Background in fintech, payments infrastructure, or a related technical domain.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent strong technical foundations.
- Experience working in a startup or established engineering environment and communicating technical decisions clearly.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary is $180,000 to $230,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

This is an on-site role in New York, New York.
