ABOUT THE ROLE
Join a cybersecurity product team building new tools for the U.S. federal defense industrial base. This product-focused role spans experimental full-stack products and foundational infrastructure, with ownership across the product lifecycle.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Develop full-stack product features and foundational infrastructure.
- Contribute from planning and design through deployment and optimization, occasionally taking on product management responsibilities.
- Build with TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and Ruby on Rails, with opportunities to use Rust or Node.js on new products.
- Work closely with product, design, and engineering in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
- Mentor engineers and help shape team culture and technical practices.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 6 years of full-stack software development experience, with technical depth appropriate to a Senior or Staff engineer.
- Experience leading multi-engineer projects and mentoring engineers.
- Hands-on production experience with TypeScript and a modern object-oriented backend language.
- Strong ownership, ability to move quickly, and interest in early-stage startup environments.
- Comfort working on cybersecurity products for the U.S. defense industrial base.
- Strong computer science fundamentals or an equivalent record of senior engineering work.
- Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base salary: $210,000 to $260,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is not available.
LOCATION
Hybrid, Canada. The role requires authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
